Description

I was really happy to have the "burst shot" feature on my camera. I swear, I took over 20 shots of this avian. Only 3 came out okay. This is my favorite of them.

On a side note, I have no idea what this little "guy" is (other than a bird of some kind). Any ideas are welcome. Sure is cute, though.

Yup that's a bush stone curlew. (Which was my first hunch). Really, really common where I live. They have a spooky, haunting call that you hear at night time (they're nocturnal). Where did you find this guy? They're endemic to Australia. Was it in a zoo or something? Or maybe they've been introduced to the US :P (You're from America aren't you?)
